Set amid the bars and cafes of the quarter, writer Jake Barnes is hopelessly in love with the wealthy socialite Lady 'Brett' Ashley.

While he prepares a trip for the summer, his friend, Robert Cohn, anticipates a life other than one of domestic unhappiness.

All of this comes to a head when Robert meets Brett.

Based on the novel 'Fiesta: The Sun Also Rises' by Ernest Hemingway.
